Owner’s Background - Moon’s Custom Cycle’s is the vocation and 24-7 passion of Steve “Moon” Mooney. Moon was born with a wrench in his hand. His 30 years of experience include four years as lead technician at Livermore Harley-Davidson. Moon’s desire to do what’s right for the customer led him to open Moon’s Performance in Tracy, California, which he built into a rapidly growing motorcycle shop before the beauty and incomparable riding territory of Southwest Colorado caught his eye.

First Year of Business in Durango - Moon’s Custom Cycles opened in the Grandview area of Durango in 2005 in an industrial complex behind Valley Sheet Metal. Despite inconspicuous signage and minimal advertising, Moon’s Custom Cycles’ quickly-established reputation for customer service and motorcycle know-how brought word-of-mouth business that helped make Moon’s a top retailer for Drag Specialties parts in this area.

Ignacio, Colorado - Moon's Custom Cycles has moved to the motorcycle-loving town of Ignacio, Colorado, the traditional home of the annual Labor Day rally in Southwest Colorado's portion of the stunning Four Corners area.
